Creating a native flower garden

Milkweed in front yard, 32M east side.

July 4, 2026

We are working to start a native flower garden by renovating the overgrown front yard section on the East side of the building … one, two foot section by two foot section at a time. Currently our lovely native Milkweek has planted itself there and multiplied, inspiring us to start the native flowering garden here instead of mowing it.

Besides Milkweed, there is Mullein, as well as Yarrow  and Black Eyed Susan nearby.
